On the left, the garden in the house of octavius quartus; none of the pictures I took really do it justice because the camera doesn't have a wide-angled lens, but this garden ran the full length of a city block in Pompei. Below, (about an eighth of) the palaestra. If gyms looked like this, I'd be found there much more often.
