Last day in Naples. The first picture is of the Chiesa di Gesu Nuovo. Most pictures of it reproduce its own proportions more faithfully, but don't make the almost grotesque scale of the place apparent. The building below it struck me as peculiarly Neapolitan - the large arches separate off a courtyard between three different buildings, and do it beautifully. But it's harder to appreciate when you have to wade through trash bins and parked cars to get to it.

oh the bins the bins....they look a hell of a lot better than they did 3months later!
