end of the Aestiva

I'm going to break chronological order here, partly because it's been so long and there's so much to put up, and partly because I can't remember what chronological order would be, here.

After the end of the Latin program, four of us rented a car and drove to Florence, starting by driving out the window of the showroom...

We drove to Civita di Bagnoreggio, which is considerably easier than bicycling to it, as you might imagine. I enjoyed it more this time, since I wasn't sweating like a pig and toting a bicycle up the (only) bridge to town. On the left, Max; center, Nandini; right, Roisin.

In Florence there was some goofing around.

which is conducive to a certain kind of picture taking

After Florence: San Gimignano. We've just had champagne-grapefruit gelato.

More to come.
