This is from the room of fishing cupids. Yep, that's right. A whole room of cupids. Fishing.


Most of the murals strive for accuracy, however stylized. So I'm puzzled by this elephant.



The owner of the villa had the mosaics in some of the rooms redone in a more modern fashion, as you can see in the top left of the next picture. Apparently, this meant long-haired people in bikinis doing exercises.
