The colors are more muted in these pictures that in real life - I plead bright sunlight and camera suckage (the other 'white balance' settings did even worse). You may have seen some of these before - they're some of the most famous and best-preserved (thanks, dirt!) roman mosaics.

To appreciate these first two pictures, you have to look at the expressions on the animals' faces; and especially the donkey on the right in the first one.



Ok, to give you an idea of the scale of this place, the next picture is from the room of the *little* hunt, and I couldn't even fit it all into the frame. And it's barely damaged; you can even see how vivid some of the colors are in the red at the center.



So, this dog is a bit less friendly than most greyhounds, but awfully greyhound-shaped.
